It is becoming tradition that the last couple weeks before our wedding season begins we take a trip to enjoy the last freedom we have until December. haha. This year we decided to go out to California to visit friends and drive down the coast. Started up on San Jose and ended in Los Angelas. Decided to do a detour to Yosemite for 30 hours after San Jose as well!
Our trip to Italy! 🇮🇹
It all started as kind of a pipe dream. Our great friend Ryan said he may have to go to Italy for a shoot (and need some help) and asked if we would want to join him and his wife (Abbey) if it happened. A few weeks later we were booking travel and making things happen! We started the trip off flying into Milan and immediately made our way to Asiago, Verona and Bressanone. We had no idea that until about 100 years ago Northern Italy was Austrian territory so while you’re in Italy it looks like you’re in Austria. We found more German food and wine than Italian and we were not mad about it! After our shenanigans up north we descended down to Florence and Tuscany and started our food and wine journey. The entire trip was absolutely amazing and traveling with two of your best friends makes it that much better.
Yes, it is a thing to touch Juliet’s breast. It is said to bring luck to your love life! We’re not just being weirdos!
Our trip to Kentucky
Our trip to Kentucky!
On our last weekend off we knew we had to do something fun before wedding season starts! By now I am sure that most of you know that Chrissy and I love Whiskey, particularly bourbons and ryes. Our number one visit was Willet. A craft distillery just outside Bardstown, KY and it was AWESOME. You immediately feel like family when you enter the grounds and every bit of it is genuine. We also visited Heaven Hill, Maker's Mark, Buffalo Trace and Woodford. Every one had something cool to see and offer. We would HIGHLY recommend a trip to Kentucky....whether you like whiskey or not, it is an awesome trip!
Our trip to Park City, UT
Our trip to Park City, UT
Our annual trip to Park City was a blast this year! Instead of skiing for 5 days we decided to do some more exploration and activities throughout the area. We look our Neice snow tubing or as she says "snow skiing!" and she had a BLAST. We went over to Heber, UT and took a swim in the hot springs and finished our trip with a tour of Blue Sky Ranch where the High West Distillery is located. It is always nice to get away for a week and see some new things. It is easy to forget how much the U.S. has to offer!
If you ever get the chance to go to Park City, UT take full advantage! There is so much to see and do and everyone is so nice! UT really does have so much to offer and if you're up for a drive you can be to Zion Nation Park in 4.5 hours!
Our trip to Florida
With all of this teeth chattering cold we have been having in Pittsburgh, Chrissy and I decided to head on down to Florida to visit family, friends and go to Disney World! Chrissy and I had not been to Disney World since high school (13 years at least!) It was quite pleasant to escape the cold and have a week in 70+ degree weather. If you ever need a quick escape you can always check out Spirit or Frontier Airlines. We got KILLER deals on tickets!

2017 - Year in review - Part one
Tyler Norman Photography - 2017 Year in in review
2017 - WHAT A YEAR! We could not have asked for a more amazing third year in Pittsburgh. We have yet again made so many new friends and connections and photographed 29 weddings! Being Pittsburgh wedding photographers is the BEST career and we are so thankful for everything we have been able to do in 2017 and everything we are working towards for 2018! We truly have the best clients and have a freaking blast photographing such awesome people! Pittsburgh has been so welcoming to Chrissy and I and we are so glad to call such an amazing city home. We continue to work on our house and get it 100%. A house built in 1890 always has something to work on! In September we were lucky enough to have a week off with no weddings or shoots and we took full advantage and spent 10 days in Greece. Greece is HIGHLY recommended if you're looking to travel abroad. We can not wait to see what 2018 brings and we are looking forward to meeting more amazing people! These photos are a mix of personal and business but without a doubt they are some of out favorite photos from 2017.
Stay tuned for part two of 2017 - year in review! We did not want to overwhelm or put anyone to sleep with too many images. We Hope everyone has a great end of the year and we wish everyone happy holidays!
Tyler and Chrissy - Our trip to Greece!
Chrissy and I have traveled many places. We love traveling and we love immersing ourselves in culture. Greece was by far one of our favorite places! Athens was nothing like we could have imagined. Every square inch of it is covered in graffiti (so it seemed), it felt more like we were in the middle east than Europe and EVERYONE was so NICE!....oh....and stray cats. Lots and lots of stray cats. Santorini was truly gorgeous. For years we have heard all the hype about Santorini and the stark white and blue churches covering the island. Well it lives up to every bit of hype. We were lucky enough to go in the off season just weeks before the island starts to shut down for the season. This made it quite enjoyable. It wasn't too hot or too crowded. We ended up in a small town called Nafplio, that was something out of a Wes Anderson film. We have decided this is where we are going to retire and we have 30 years to learn Greek. If you are considering traveling to Greece we would HIGHLY recommend it!
