A tree farm engagement session! When Carmen first reached out for an engagement session I knew it was going to be an awesome time just from our conversations and planning. After rescheduling a few times we finally got a date nailed down and WOW did we get lucky! Between the weirdest weather days we've seen in Pittsburgh in February it started dumping snow during their session and we took full advantage! Carmen and Seth's love is so genuine and their laughter and energy is contagious. It was such a blast working with these two!

2017 - Year in review - Part two

Here it is! Part two of our 2017. Again, we can not begin to thank all the amazing people that trust us to capture their special moments and days and allowed us to bring our creative minds to your lives. We absolutely love working with such fun, creative and loving people! 2018 is already shaping up to be an incredible year and we can not wait to work with everyone. We hope everyone had a great New Year and is having a STELLAR start to 2018!

Oakland engagement session - Lindsey and Dave

Lindsey and Dave are from Pittsburgh but now live in Dallas and Houston. We planned their shoot over a month out in hopes for some "warmer" winter weather and sun. WE GOT THE EXACT OPPOSITE. It was one of the first days that it was freezing in Pittsburgh and the second we started shooting it started to sleet, snow and gust wind. That's alright though! We had a blast running around Oakland and had no one to work around of compete with for locations. It is amazing how quiet Oakland is when the University of Pittsburgh is on holiday break!

2017 - Year in review - Part one

2017 - WHAT A YEAR! We could not have asked for a more amazing third year in Pittsburgh. We have yet again made so many new friends and connections and photographed 29 weddings! Being Pittsburgh wedding photographers is the BEST career and we are so thankful for everything we have been able to do in 2017 and everything we are working towards for 2018! We truly have the best clients and have a freaking blast photographing such awesome people! Pittsburgh has been so welcoming to Chrissy and I and we are so glad to call such an amazing city home. We continue to work on our house and get it 100%. A house built in 1890 always has something to work on! In September we were lucky enough to have a week off with no weddings or shoots and we took full advantage and spent 10 days in Greece. Greece is HIGHLY recommended if you're looking to travel abroad. We can not wait to see what 2018 brings and we are looking forward to meeting more amazing people! These photos are a mix of personal and business but without a doubt they are some of out favorite photos from 2017.

Lauren & Jared - Santorini love

Quite a wild story on how we all met and came to this shoot! Chrissy and I took a great walk through Oia and decided we were going to go to Amoudi Bay for a swim and some cliff jumping. After sitting and swimming for a while we see this cool (english speaking) couple come up and sit next to us. After exchanging some pleasantries I decided to do a jump off the cliff before we left. After jumping and swimming back I pass Lauren in the water and just happened to ask where they were from....and of all places in the world they were from Jacksonville, FL.....My home for several years and the place I started my business! After that quick conversation Chrissy and I left and that was it....see ya later! But NO....scrolling through Instagram I randomly see Jared's post and find out they are a wedding photography team known as We are the Bowsers. Obviously I was excited to see this and sent a message to hook up and possibly do a super quick morning shoot before Chrissy and I left back for Athens. Well, it worked out and we exchanged super quick shoots and without a doubt made some awesome new friends! The world is a small place. You never know where and when you are going to meet new friends!

Mexican War Streets Engagement - Kim & Robert

What an awesome engagement session! The Mexican War Streets always has a special spot in our hearts, because it is our Neighborhood! We know so many people, we walk our dog, have made friends and we LOVE when couples want to come be a part of the fun, history and beauty! We took Kim and Robert on the walking tour of the Mexican War Streets for their engagement session and we had so much fun!

Kathleen & Nicholas Engagement session

What an awesome engagement session! Kathleen and Nicholas wanted ZERO fuss. They wanted something that represented them and only a few photos they could cherish. Chrissy and I were given a shared dropped pin on google maps, no real address AND the pin looked like it was in the middle of the woods. When we arrived we were both thinking this is a weird spot, but we can make it work. Kathleen and Nicholas arrived and within seconds we were hiking down what used to be a hiking/dirt bike trail. After a few minutes we were at an overlook that had some of the best views we have ever seen in Pittsburgh! We love when our couples have a sense of adventure and don't mind getting a little dirty to get some awesome shots!

The South Side of Pittsburgh is not a place that Chrissy and I frequent often....actually in the almost 3 years we have lived in Pittsburgh we have been to the South Side less then 6 times. BUT after last nights engagement session with Amanda and Ross, we might be making some more trips! Amanda and Ross are such an awesome couple. They have one of the coolest apartments in Pittsburgh, are madly in love, KILL IT at Crossfit together and truly enjoy being in each others company. Its always great to know that good people like them exist in the world.
